Olaf van Gorp

Technical Sales (EMEA) and Solutions Consultant at Akana by Perforce

Having successfully completed his university education (degree in Psychology) and following an initial career in developmental cooperation (4 years, with posts in Sri Lanka and Ethiopia), Olaf in 1997 decided to become an ICT professional. He started his career with Compuware, where he grew from software developer to software architect. In 2007, he became a senior consultant with Capgemini Netherlands, where he became an expert on system integration within the public domain, being actively involved in the realization of service and messaging standards to be used by Dutch government organizations (Digikoppeling). Olaf became a TOGAF certified architect in 2010. In 2012, he accepted a position with Enable-U, where he was dedicated to system integration challenges in general and application services governance in particular. From December 2014 onwards, he has been with US-based Akana, a leading API Management solution provider (Akana has since become part of the Perforce Software portfolio). Acting as a technical sales for the Akana API Management product in EMEA, Olaf has significantly contributed to Akana success in the region, adding several new logos and expanding the Akana footprint with others. Olaf is now recognized as one of the thought leaders in the API management space, with a particular focus on Open Banking and PSD2, offering blog posts and webinars on a regular basis.

Olaf is currently living in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, with his wife and 8-year old daughter. He is an avid bike racer, indoor climber and drummer and knows how to enjoy a good meal with friends and relatives.
