I didn't expect to see such a world-class speaker lineup speaking on topics so relevant to me.

It’s a pleasure to be part of spaces like GenerationAI Conferences, where the future and present of AI is shared, discussed, and built together.

I spent the day diving deep into generative AI. The event was packed with eye-opening talks and inspiring ideas. GenAI is reshaping how we work, create, and solve problems.

An exceptional developer experience is the key to retaining your API consumers, and API documentation is how you turn and unlock it. Yet, no matter how many times API consumers say they want and need better documentation, they are constantly complaining that it’s mediocre, if existent at all.

Using the power of GraphQL, in one week a single developer was able to connect all of those databases and systems together into a single endpoint. In one week our application tripled its speed, our potential app server load decreased, and our developers got their hands on some of the best tooling around data we have ever used.

In addition to improving the environmental impact, making more sustainable hardware and software will ultimately bring better long-term performance and reliability.

As climate change is already visible and indisputable, its impact on our society and economy will transform industries, people, and organizations in unprecedented ways. 2030 is not even tomorrow, it’s tonight and we have to act now!

We need to work on understanding the impacts of digital technology, because in order to reduce, we need to understand.

The greatest existential threat to organizations and nations alike is their API attack surface.

This report reminds us that APIs are a foundational technology for digital transformation and growth. By tackling complexity through platform engineering, federated API management, and other evolving trends, organizations can realize the potential of this exciting technology.

APIs are the backbone of modern software and application development. They have become a cornerstone of modern architectures that enable businesses to stay agile and compete effectively.

What has taken some time for enterprise security programs to realize is that APIs are a pipeline that often bypasses the layers of defense that organizations have built to protect their data and because of this they require more attention than most other attack vectors.

2022 will be a pivotal year for many API tools providers and companies as API-first digital ecosystems become the norm globally and locally.

We have seen a rapid surge in API adoption over the past year, since the damaging impacts of COVID19 have shook the world… The new normal is ‘API-driven’

All our developers have access to our API logs so we have an easy way to monitor, and improve before we have to do crisis management. We don't want our users to tell us our app is slow, we want to know in advance. Right now we have over 200 API endpoints over a few services but we plan to grow these.

We have classically been a product company, but now we are pitching ourselves as a platform: We enable third-party developers to build solutions that can deliver more connected end-to-end experiences to customers. We saw the potential of creating an API layer in our system, which allows a simple, easy to understand, and third-party consumer-friendly approach to API consumption.

We have a lot of large enterprise customers. So APIs are crucial for us. Also, because we are a platform, we provide an open API: the documentation is available for any engineer across the world. Basically, every integration is bound and tied to our API. I think the biggest challenge with APIs is you need to think from the API consumer perspective... because you know we all know that integrations can be very painful, especially if there's no documentation or or if the API methods used are really strangely organized.

The sessions provided valuable insights into how APIs are driving innovation and supporting digital transformation across industries. It was also a great to connect with others working in this space and exchange ideas. Looking forward to applying some of these learnings in my work.
