Founder - Green IO
I launched Green IO podcast 🎙️ which offers responsible technologists a place to build a greener digital world, one byte at a time. For the last 15 years, I have led teams in PropTech, payment service providers, document-processing industry and I have experienced first hand the benefits that digitalization brings to people. At the same time I also lived on 3 continents and witnessed the environmental footprint of human activity on planet Earth. Between Tech for Good and sustainable IT, “Tech” is a key enabler of our ecological transition. But Tech is also a serious contributor to these ecological crises.
In 2021, I decided to focus full-time on this dual issue with a balanced approach. Putting on hold executive positions, I now help teams build greener digital products, using this much needed change as a strategic opportunity for sustainable business development.
I do so by:
- providing open-source content,
- building bridges between communities & networks
- and by leveraging collective intelligence;
based on 3 core values: respect People 🫂 , respect Science 🔬 and respect Earth 🌍.I’m always thrilled to interview doers for knowledge and feedback in the Green IO Podcast and to partner with companies looking to travel further on the Digital Sustainability road.

For decades, software has been seen primarily as a source of automation and cost reduction. But that is changing and enterprises need to drive new revenue with the powerful integration of APIs.
Today, every large company is a software developer. The software content of everything, even a No. 2 pencil is, increasing (think: manufacturing, supply chain, pricing and demand, e-commerce, etc.).
Everything we do and manufacture has some form of services behind it. Those services are driven by software. It is impossible to separate company strategy from software design. We implement one by executing on the other. Leading in competitive markets requires a software strategy that can drive revenue through new services, new channels, and new partners.
We will look at the history of APIs through the lens of software design, industry structures, vertical integrations, service delivery and technology-enabled services. By understanding the best practices and business requirements around offering APIs as products, companies can successfully expand their product and service portfolios and create new revenue streams. APIs are core to the newest digital revolution.
Chief Strategy Officer - Nokia
Telco network capabilities exposed through APIs provide a large benefit for customers. By simplifying telco network complexity with APIs and making the APIs available across telco networks enables easy and seamless access.
Telco network capabilities are functions partly available already in 4G but new and much more powerful in the 5G network. These functions enable to get information out of the network but also to configure the network.
The on-demand, secure and controlled exposure of these capabilities pave the way for transforming operator networks into service enablement platforms, facilitating the application-to-network integration, which will be key to deliver enhanced and service tailored customer experience in the 5G era.

Any API strategy starts from simplicity of API development, creation, and exposure.
It matures by managing the API lifecycle through AI-assisted yet rigorous testing, providing enterprise governance, self-service consumption, and enabling analytics and monetization of those APIs.
It becomes successful by dynamically tackling threats and malicious actors – allowing to please the API consumers at all times, without compromising on security.
All of this, across the evolving landscape of emerging protocols and patterns beyond SOAP and REST, such as Kafka, Events, GraphQL, WebSockets, and more.
In this workshop, you will learn how to consistently manage many types of APIs -REST, GraphQL and Async APIs. We will show how to enforce governance and version control across the API Lifecycle from design and develop to retire. We will also leverage Noname Advanced API Security to provide an additional layer of protection from vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and design flaws caused by the explosive growth of APIs and speed at which organisations are deploying APIs.

The impact of product management is hugely observed across industries although it’s a relatively new practice.
Over the last couple of years, the process of product management has evolved around planning, designing, and developing a product to make it market fit.
With massive digital adoption, many new variances of products have been introduced like API as a product, platform as a product etc.
Talking about API, gone are those days when we considered it merely an endpoint URL. Nowadays APIs are classified as full-fledged products with life cycles, pricing, SLA etc.

The seismic shift that is Embedded Finance represents the future for banks and fintechs, catalyzing unprecedented growth and benefiting regulators, government agencies, and consumers alike, especially in increasing financial inclusion.
Key Takeaways:
1. Expanding the Pie: Embedded finance implementation is poised to enlarge the financial services pie, extending beyond lending to revolutionize insurance, credit cards, payments, cross-border transfers, and private credit and investments. It enables banks to attract more deposits, fueling increased lending capacity, especially beneficial for nimble mid-sized banks.
2. Competition vs Collaboration: Uncover the dynamics of the growing competition among fintechs and neobanks, and how strategic collaborations with traditional banks can help both parties gain more customers and deposits, particularly during volatile interest rate periods. Learn from Plaid's journey from screen-scraping, through a potential Visa acquisition, to developing APIs together with the banks.
3. Innovation knows no limits as all finance becomes embedded, inevitably. You can buy insurance at the point of sale today without having to go through a separate provider. Non-financial companies can offer branded credit cards today simply with a fintech partnership. Lending-as-a-Service is becoming a thing, as with BNPL for B2B. Customers will likely be able to open new banking and brokerage accounts through third party apps as all platforms vie for their customer's attention and cash.
Chief Financial Officer - Brankas

OpenAPI-based Code Generation has become Ubiquitous.
You can take your pick of Opensource or Proprietary tools that require only your OpenAPI Definition to generate API Clients and Reference Documentation.
However, OpenAPI and other popular API specification formats do not enforce any standards for Code Generation. Thus we often see Code Generators creating ugly or downright unusable code for API Definitions that are Syntactically and Semantically correct.
This talk will draw upon the learnings from analyzing over 1 million API Definitions in various formats, predominantly OpenAPI/Swagger. It will highlight common mistakes made by Developers which are not typically highlighted by OpenAPI Validation and Linting tools but can negatively impact the quality of generated Code and Documentation.
The talk will emphasize how the right validation and linting process can help you overcome all of these issues efficiently in order to help you build a world-class Developer Experience for your API.

When we talk about APIs and API governance, it can quickly get technical. At Booking.com, we found that to be successful in delivering high-quality API solutions to our partners we needed a more comprehensive framework where all stakeholders (product, commercial, engineering, ...) know what to do when, and whom to work with. It became clear that to succeed as a team we had to connect all the dots and bring clarity and ease of work to the table to design, build, deliver, and maintain the solutions the market wanted and needed. In this talk, I will talk about the two products we bring to market in our B2B2B world: (1) API products and (2) the solutions our partners build for their partners, and how we use a development framework with processes and guidelines to: Improve the ways we work together, make it easier for internal product teams to build API solutions, and our goal to ensure fast, reliable, and standardized
APIs.
