CODE OF CONDUCT

Apidays, through its series of conferences, research, and educational activities, is committed to providing a neutral and harassment-free experience for all event participants – attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, speakers, staff, workers, and volunteers – regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, national origin, ethnicity, race, political affiliation, or religion.

Apidays events are designed for professional networking and collaboration within the API community. Its guiding principle is to foster the open exchange of ideas and expression and require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group. Apidays maintains a policy of safe, neutral conversation regarding technology. We do not permit debates regarding gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, national origin, ethnicity, race, political affiliation, or religion at our conferences, but rather invite all attendees to converse about technology within a neutral technology forum.

Harassment will not be tolerated in any form, (written, electronic, verbal, etc.) including, but not limited to, harassment based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or any other status protected by laws in which the conference or program is being held. Harassment includes the use of abusive, offensive or degrading language, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, sexual imagery and unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors. This includes statements made in social media postings, online publications, text messages, and all other forms of communication.

Any report of harassment at one of our events will be addressed immediately. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Anyone who witnesses or is subjected to unacceptable behavior should notify a conference organizer at once. Exhibitors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material in their booths and must refrain from the use of sexualized clothing, uniforms, costumes, or otherwise creating a sexualized environment. Speakers should not use sexual language, images, or any language or images that would constitute harassment as defined above in their talks. Individuals who participate (or plan to participate) in apidays events should conduct themselves at all times in a manner that comports with both the letter and spirit of this policy prohibiting harassment and abusive behavior, whether before, during or after the event.

Event participants violating this Code of Conduct may be sanctioned or expelled from an event without a refund, and/or banned from future events.

If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Ethical Conduct, please inform a member of staff or email us at events@apidays.io.

Thank you all for participating in apidays events and for your help in maintaining a welcoming, respectful and safe environment for all.
